Born as Anna Mae Bullock, Tina Turner was raised in Nutbush, Tennessee. She shot to fame in the 1950s under the name ‘Little Ann’ and entered the world of music as Tina Turner in the 1960s. Her greatest musical numbers are A Fool in Love, River Deep – Mountain High, and Proud Mary.

She is a survivor of domestic abuse and has openly spoken about her split from her husband. After her separation, she rebuilt her music career. She released her fifth solo album, Private Dancer that became a global sensation! No wonder she is known as the ‘queen’ of rock and roll.
Tina Turner, who now lives in Switzerland, worked on this musical with Stage Productions, Joop van den Ende and Tali Pelman.

TINA is written by Katori Hall with Frank Ketelaar and Kess Prins. It stars Aisha Jawando as Tina Turner, and Jammy Kasongo plays her partner Ike. The choreography is by Anthony van Laast, set and costume design by Mark Thompson. The powerful musical supervisor is Nicholas Skilbeck, sound by Nevin Steinberg and orchestrations by Ethan Popp. And the lighting by Bruno Poet.
